Heruka Buddhist Center

Buddha in the garden

Heruka Buddhist Center, located in Fort Collins, provides a peaceful, inspiring environment where people can learn about Buddhism and meditation. Meditation is an integral part of the Buddhist path. It is a powerful method to calm and focus the mind, creating inner peace and a sense of well-being. The Center caters for all levels of interest, from those who wish to meditate simply to relax and reduce the strains of everyday life, to those who wish to realize their full potential and gain a deep experience of the spiritual path. Whatever you’re looking for, Heruka Buddhist Center has something to offer.

The Center was established in Fort Collins in 1999 at the request of a group of Coloradoans. Heruka Center is one of over 1,000 Centers of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT) throughout the world. Located in Old Town, right at the center of things, we offer weekly meditation classes , a daily puja program, retreats, study programs and special classes throughout the year.

Our bookstore is stocked with all of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s books. This remarkable series of authoritative books represents the most complete and integrated presentation of the Buddhist path to enlightenment available in any western language. We also carry posters, postcards and other objects of Buddhist art.
