Guided meditations watchable on demand with Resident Teacher Trina Gunther
ABOUT THIS MEDITATION CHALLENGE
Although we want to be happy all the time, negative energy in our mind often causes us many problems. This negative energy, or negative karma, has a toxic effect on our life, keeping us locked into painful experiences and habits that seem so hard to avoid. Buddha taught many methods to detox our mind of this negativity. Known as purification, these methods allow us to make our mind clean and pure, lifting this heavy burden of negativity.
In this meditation challenge, we will focus on four special meditations to remove negative karma from our mind, known as the four powers of purification. As part of these we will learn a special Mantra, that we will use in our mental detox sessions, but which we can also use in our busy daily life.
By engaging in this challenge, we can help heal our mind from negativity and gain a clear, more positive state of mind. It is perfect for those who are new to purification as well as more experienced practitioners interested in deepening their practice. Everyone is welcome.

THE FOUR POWERS OF PURIFICATION
In this 7-day challenge, we will meditate on the four powers of purification as Buddha taught for effective mental purification:
The strength of purification depends upon the way in which these four powers are applied. When we learn these we will have no trouble detoxing our mind of negativity.
The first four sessions we will learn the four powers, and the final three sessions we will learn how to apply them together for simple and effective purification.
"At present our mind is like an overcast sky, but if we purify all our negativity and keep the promise to refrain from harmful actions in the future, our mind will become like a clear and cloudless sky." Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
