Blessing Empowerment of Avalokiteshvara

Saturday, May 7, 2022

With Resident Teacher Trina Gunther

In-Person & Online

What is an empowerment?

“An empowerment bestows upon us special blessings that heal our mental continuum and awaken our Buddha nature.”  — Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

This empowerment is a transformative guided meditation through which we connect to Buddha Avalokiteshvara's enlightened mind. By receiving these inspiring blessings we can swiftly actualize our own potential and gain the confidence we need to progress along the spiritual path. Through the power of our compassion we can help to bring enormous relief to our suffering world. Everyone is welcome!

Who is Buddha Avalokiteshvara?

Buddha Avalokiteshvara is the embodiment of the compassion of all enlightened beings. Through sincerely engaging in Buddha Avalokiteshvara's short meditation practice we can gradually awaken our compassionate Buddha nature. We can solve our own daily problems by controlling our desirous attachment, anger and ignorance, and then from this state we can bring so much extraordinary benefit to our family, our community and our world.

Purifying our mind and our world

Learn how real compassion uplifts and empowers us through wisdom and faith.

Learn how compassion cleans our mind, destroying our inner darkness and negativity.

Learn the special Tantric meditation to compassionately purify and transform our entire world.

“When we become a Buddha our happiness radiates eternally as compassion, nourishing all living beings and gradually drawing them into the same state.”

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, How to Transform Your Life.

Prayers and Requests to the Buddha of Compassion

In the commentary and group practice sessions, we will learn the beautiful practice of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, as presented in Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s most recent book, The Mirror of Dharma. This brief commentary is an oral instruction that gives us a unique and direct tantric method for developing universal love and compassion.
