2021 Year -End Giving Drive

Dear Friends of Heruka Kadampa Buddhist Center,

This has been another challenging year for many. During 2021, Heruka Center has provided a source of refuge for the people of Northern Colorado and Wyoming, giving opportunities for everyone to develop liberating and loving minds through listening to, contemplating, and practicing Kadam Dharma.

None of this would be possible without the kindness of yourselves, our members!  We would like to sincerely thank you for your support in attending classes and events, both online and in-person. We are a non-profit, volunteer-run organization and we rely on your help to continue with our mission to make Dharma available to the people in our community so that everyone can learn to use wisdom to solve daily problems, grow spiritually, and transform our world.

With the end of the year approaching, we hope you will consider including Heruka Kadampa Buddhist Center in your holiday season giving. If you feel Heruka Center has contributed to your life, and you believe in what we are doing, please consider making a donation. A gift of any size, no matter how small, makes an impact! All donations are 100% tax-deductible 501(c)(3).

Through making a donation and helping people find the methods for developing inner peace, you are directly contributing to the potential for world peace now and for generations to come.

Our fundraising goal for this year is $4,000. This will help us meet our general running expenses, which has been especially challenging during Covid due to reduced in-person attendance and the cost of providing live-stream classes.

2021 Shrine Fundraiser & DIY Projects

Thank you to everyone who contributed funds, DIY time and support to improve Heruka Center this year!

Our main goal was to update our shrine, to offer a more beautiful and inspiring experience for meditators and the general public as we started to re-open this year. Thanks to many generous contributions and the excellent cabinetry work of Tyler Morris Woodworking we have a new beautiful shrine that expresses the great value of Buddhadharma in this world.

We also had great fun creating a new bookstore and updating our office this year. Thank you to everyone who helped with painting, furniture and lighting assembly, inventory, organizing and cleaning.

If you haven't had the chance to come in and see these updates, please join us sometime for a class, retreat or group practice. We'd love to see you!

Donate to Heruka Kadampa Buddhist Center!

We are a non-profit organization and we rely on your help to continue making Dharma available to the people of Northern Colorado, Wyoming and beyond. The Center is entirely locally supported--a truly local organization. Your participation is valuable and important – a gift of any size, no matter how small, makes an impact! Making a donation to Heruka Center is a fantastic way to practice the Perfection of Giving.

This is our community service, giving people the means for developing inner peace. When someone attends a class or meditation, they leave more peaceful, and they interact with our community in a more positive way. In this way, the activities of Heruka Center benefit our whole community. When you support Heruka Center, you are supporting the peace and happiness of friends, family and community, both now and in the future.

Thank you for supporting meditation and Buddhism in Fort Collins and the surrounding areas!

All donations are tax-deductible 501(c)(3).

"Kadam Dharma is like a mala [prayer beads] made of gold. Just as everyone, even those who do not use a mala, would be happy to accept a gift of a gold mala because it is made of gold, in a similar way, even non-Buddhists, can receive benefit from Kadam Dharma. This is because there is no difference between Kadam Dharma and people’s everyday experiences." Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Modern Buddhism
