In this inspiring talk, Gen-la Jampa will reveal how we can realistically find peace, both in our heart and our world.

Wishfulfilling Jewel is a special practice for developing compassion, wisdom, and spiritual strength by relying on the Wisdom Buddha Je Tsongkhapa, and for overcoming obstacles and difficulties in our meditation (Dharma) practice by relying on the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden.

Everyone is welcome to join us in special prayers for Susan Wilson, the mother of Sangha member Christina Wilson, who died on Sunday. In the Powa Ceremony we will make heartfelt prayers to the Buddha of Compassion on Susan's behalf, transferring her consciousness (as well as that of countless others) to Avalokitshvara's Pure Land of Sukhavati.

Buddha Tara—known as "the Swift One, the Heroine"—is a manifestation of the fearless wisdom of all enlightened beings. To come to our aid, she moves faster than wind; for countless generations people have relied upon her for protection against fears and anxieties, and for guidance, inspiration, and a steady source of encouragement. She is the perfect source of refuge for our troubled world.

The empowerment of Green Tara is granted via a blissful ritual meditation that has been passed down from generation to generation since the time of Buddha himself. We make a special connection with Tara’s omniscient mind, which quickly awakens the expansive potential within our own mind for fearlessness and bliss. We are also granted permission to engage in the Tantric practice of Tara through which we can revisit these feelings of wellbeing and peace whenever we want, and also become a refuge for others.
