Dealing with Our Demons
There are three steps to overcoming our delusions taught in the mind-training teachings of Buddhism. The first is recognizing or identifying them. And that means not just intellectually, but for ourselves, in our own minds, in our direct experience. We identify them but we don't identify WITH them - and this difference is crucial. In this series of meditation classes, we'll learn what these three steps are, how to work with them by applying their opponents, and eventually how to uproot them completely.
Oct 4 - What are delusions?
Oct 11 - Recognizing delusions in our mind
Oct 18 - Reducing intensity by applying opponents
Oct 25 - Abandoning delusions completely

Our mind has limitless potential. But we can easily find ourself stuck in repetitive ways of thinking and behaving. Buddha taught many gentle methods to help us transform our mind and break free from old habits. Buddha also taught ways to stabilize more realistic, constructive and positive views, intentions and actions that lead to greater inner and outer harmony in our lives. It all starts with understanding and transforming our own mind.
These Friday evening meditation classes take a practical look at Buddha’s wisdom teachings and how it can be applied to our modern life.
Each week will include:
- guided breathing meditation
- a short teaching on how to access more inner calm and kindness
- a concluding contemplation
- Q&A time with Resident Teacher Kerrin Perniciaro
This class is available via livestream for all monthly members.
