~ For those with Highest Yoga Tantra empowerments only ~

“We should know that in truth our commitments of the Pratimoksha, Bodhisattva and Tantric vows are the only method to solve our own and others’ problems and the only method to make ourself and others happy. This is what we really need.

We should never think that our commitments are like heavy luggage but always think that they are a wish-fulfilling jewel that has been given to us by Buddha, and we should keep them purely at the cost of our life.”

Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, A Handbook for the Daily Practice of Bodhisattva and Tantric Vows

HYT Practice Class: Tantric Moral Discipline

with Resident Teacher Kadam Trina Gunther

What is the moral discipline of a Highest Yoga Tantra practitioner? In this series of HYT Practice Classes, we will learn how to engage in our daily practice through understanding the precious vows and commitments of Highest Yoga Tantra.

Keeping these vows and commitments purely is at the very heart of Heruka and Vajrayogini practice and will guide us to generation and completion stage realizations. We will learn what these vows and commitments are, what they mean for our daily life, and how to gradually improve our capacity to keep these more purely and consistently.

Gen-la Dekyong gave important advice on how to use A Handbook for the Daily Practice of Bodhisattva Vows and Tantric Vows at the 2023 International Summer Festival.

These classes will be based on the HYT teachings from 2023 Summer Festival on how to use A Handbook for the Daily Practice of Bodhisattva Vows and Tantric Vows and the instructions within Tantric Grounds and Paths.

Each HYT practice class includes prayers, a guided meditation and plenty of time for Q & A.

Our HYT practice classes are offered on the same day as our In-Depth Buddhist Workhops on the Kadampa practice of Heart Jewel, which is the essential foundation for our HYT practice.

Please see the general schedule of HYT classes below. For the schedule of in-depth workshops, please click on the image to the left or here.
