Medicine Buddha Post Empowerment Retreat

Thursday, December 11th - Saturday, December 13th

With Resident Teacher Kerrin Perniciaro

After a Center Empowerment, it is customary to spend time in meditation retreat on the practice of the Empowering Deity. Join us just five days after receiving the Medicine Buddha Empowerment at Heruka KMC on Dec 11-13, for a six-session retreat on the self-generation practice of Medicine Buddha called Medicine Buddha Sadhana.

Medicine Buddha is a Buddha Doctor whose function is to release living beings from outer and inner sickness by bestowing blessings upon them. By relying upon Medicine Buddha sincerely, living beings in these impure times can be cured of heavy physical and mental disease, and find release from the internal pain of the three poisons: attachment, anger and ignorance. They can also receive protection from many other dangers and obstacles. By practicing Medicine Buddha Sadhana sincerely, we receive a special power of body, speech, and mind, which we can then use to help others through healing actions.

This is a wonderful way to gain direct experience of the radical practice of Tantric self-generation, where we transform our experience of our self, world, and others through imagination and wisdom. It will leave us uplifted and inspired so that we can truly change internally for the better, and we can be sure this change will have a profound effect not only on ourselves, but also on our communities and our whole world.

While this retreat is most suitable for those who attended the Medicine Buddha Empowerment on Dec 6, everyone is welcome!
