Walk for World Peace

Followed by Weekly Meditation Classes in the Park!

Starts June 21st
10:30am - 12:00pm

Join members of Heruka Kadampa Meditation Center on Saturday, June 21 at beautiful Spring Park for some guided meditation, exercise and a picnic to celebrate the start of summer! The morning will begin with a 10:30am guided meditation in a grassy section of the park just steps from the parking lot under a group of shady trees. We'll provide some chairs, but feel free to bring your own blanket/yoga mat or lawn chair. We'll set a beautiful intention during meditation and take that with us into a Walk for World Peace by doing three laps around an easy and flat sidewalk found behind the firehouse which also runs along a peaceful and serene pond. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a summer picnic in the park together!

Please bring picnic food and drink to share (as this will not be provided) along with your frisbees, kickballs, kites, or any other fun game or activity you'd like to engage in with friends, both new and old! Spring Park is located at 2100 Matthews Street, Fort Collins, CO 80525) and this event will serve as the kick-off to our Outdoor Summer Meditation Series (officially beginning Sunday, June 29 through Sunday, Sept 7 | 10:30 - 11:30am) in the same park location.

Everyone welcome!

Spring Park

2100 Matthews Street, Fort Collins, CO 80525

Spring Park is less than a mile away from Heruka Center, just off College Avenue, roughly mid-way between Prospect & Drake.

From College Avenue turn EAST onto Spring Park Drive at the traffic light. After 2 blocks, Spring Park Drive turns into Matthews Street, and at this junction is the sign and parking lot for Spring Park.

As much as possible our meditation classes will be located very near this parking lot in the shady tree-covered grassy area.

Click on the map below for the Google map location.

We'll be meditating under the shade of the tree canopy as much as possible! Please bring sun protection just in case.
