Forgiveness is a strong and courageous mind that frees us from unnecessary pain. By not forgiving, by dwelling on harm done to us and blaming others, we continue to harm ourselves. Buddha teaches us how to identify the real source of our problems. Through this wisdom, we can learn to forgive others and ourself, let go of our anger, and move in the direction of healthy, loving relationships and a happy life.
Take a break from the hustle and bustle of busy life and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your own mind. In this series of classes Jamie will teach the special meditations from the Buddhist Mahamudra tradition on the mind itself.
These meditations help us to experience mental clarity and spaciousness, like a clear blue sky, leading us on a voyage of exploration of our mind through which we can discover our own inner potential for lasting peace and happiness.
Jamie is an experienced practitioner and teacher of Kadampa Buddhism, practicing in the Kadampa tradition since 2001. He now studies and teaches meditation regularly at Kadampa Meditation Center Colorado in Denver, where he has resided for the last eight years.
Jamie’s teachings are full of humor and practical examples that illuminate the depth of Buddha’s profound teachings, making them accessible for everyone to apply to their daily lives. His personable, kind manner communicates the benefits of meditation and modern Buddhism in practice, and his classes demonstrate the essential “how to’s” of a genuinely spiritual life in a way that all of us can understand.
